I just love this!! I always think of a Clark Gable movie, in which he's sitting there late at night, tie askew, squinting from the smoke of the Camel clamped in his lips, typing out a breaking-news story of Tammany Hall or Capone's escapades as the deadline nears.
What a wonderful thing to have, and I DO hope you'll get started on that novel soon!
Thanks for dropping in at Lawn Tea!!
I love those old typewriters - it's all about the keys! Nice photo set up too.
They are really so cool looking - and I think most people just take them apart for the way cool keys but really - together they are pretty regal!
YES, display it. Display it now!!!
I love my typewriters. Yes, that is plural.
Thanks for sharing!
Living it up at Lakewood,

Old typewriters have style! Your lucky to have that one.
My last typewriter was a newer manual one from the 1960s so it didn't look so cool. I ended up throwing it away when I moved because I knew I would never want to use it again.
This is neat! I bet you found a great spot to display it in...and looking forward to reading your novel!
We used to have a typewriter similar to this....I always think of my dad typing...."Now is the time all good men must come to the aid of their country"...or something like that...funny how looking at a picture will bring back a strange memory.
Have a great Weekend and a wonderful VTT!
That's one great looking typewriter, and I agree, it's time that baby was out on display! I miss my old typewriter. Wish I hadn't gotten rid of it now!
Happy VTT!
Yes save it! People do take tehm apart for the keys and the parts - for mixed media art I guess. But this one works, and does'nt it make a great sound?
Very cool and a great photo of it also. Hard to believe there was ever just typewriters with no computers. Remember having to do corrections, white out? They are fun to look at though.
Definitely bring it out and display it. =0))

Lovely typewriter! My grandfather used to have a Remington that looked a little like this. I hope you will find the ribbon so you can start your novel.
LOVE it..my dad had one just like it!
That's one good looking machine! Type away, girl!
