Another photo from the Atlanta Botanical Gardens exhibit of Henry Moore's sculptures. Henry Moore (1898-1986) was the first sculptor to create fine art intended to be displayed outdoors. It was interesting to try to figure out why they chose a certain piece to be displayed in a certain area of the Gardens. Most of them mimicked the pattern of the plantings nearby or provided a spectacular view or juxtaposition of the landscape. Above is "Mother and Child" among the orchids in the Fuqua Orchid Center.
